# People School Affiliate Program Internal Launch Plan

## Approved operating decisions

- Approve 20% of net collected initial-enrollment revenue.
- Approve 30-day last-eligible-click attribution.
- Hold commissions for at least 30 days. Science of People has sole and absolute discretion over commission eligibility, attribution, approval, holds, reversals, payout timing, payout method, and payout amount. There is no internal appeal or alternate payout process.
- Use a 90-day exclusion for customers already in an individualized, documented Science of People sales conversation.
- Allow worldwide participation only where Science of People can lawfully operate and make payouts.
- Exclude Plus renewals, upgrades, upsells, taxes, refunds, disputes, and unrelated products by default.
- Prohibit brand bidding and branded paid-search traffic.
- Require written campaign-level approval for all other paid advertising.
- Continue the no-Vanessa-photo rule for affiliate creative.
- Publish the final Program Terms effective July 14, 2026 and require affirmative acceptance.

## Launch sequence

### 1. Terms and acceptance

- Publish `affiliate-program-terms.md` with the Circle application.
- Preserve the effective date and the incorporated Oregon governing-law, AAA arbitration, class-action waiver, one-year claim period, and $100 liability-cap language.
- Confirm affirmative acceptance method in Circle and retain timestamped acceptance records.
- Version the terms and show the effective date on the page.

### 2. Tracking and finance

- Choose the affiliate tracking and payout source of truth.
- Create separate tracking destinations for Accelerator and Executive.
- Confirm cross-domain checkout attribution and mobile/browser behavior.
- Confirm 30-day cookie storage and last-click logic.
- Treat a scheduled/completed sales call, individualized sales email exchange, or individualized proposal/enrollment arrangement during the preceding 90 days as an Active Sales Conversation. General forms, newsletters, webinars, CRM presence, and automated marketing alone do not qualify.
- Configure payment plans so potential commission is considered only as each installment is successfully collected and retained; nothing becomes payable until Science of People approves and releases it.
- Configure 30-day pending status, refund/chargeback reversals, negative balances, and $50 payout threshold.
- Collect W-9/W-8 and payout details through a secure system, not a general Circle post or email.
- Test one paid-in-full order, one payment-plan order, one refund, one failed installment, one chargeback, one repeat visit, and two competing affiliate links.

### 3. Circle program area

- Replace the current two-paragraph Refer + Earn page with the new landing copy.
- Replace the three-field form with the recommended application.
- Put the disclosure and paid-media acknowledgments in separate required checkboxes.
- Link the Program Terms, main Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy at application and acceptance.
- Add application-received, approved, waitlisted, suspended, and terminated email templates.
- Create a private approved-partners area for current links, assets, terms versions, and campaign approvals.

### 4. Partner enablement

- Upload the quick-start guide and swipe file.
- Produce the six text-led approved creative formats.
- Create evergreen graphics separately from price/date graphics.
- Add a “last updated” date to every product fact sheet.
- Assign one owner to refresh pricing, bonuses, session dates, and claims whenever the People School offer changes.

### 5. Compliance operations

- Review the first public promotion from every new Affiliate.
- Search monthly for brand bidding, coupon pages, misleading claims, and missing disclosures.
- Record approvals with affiliate, channel, campaign, creative version, destination, dates, approver, and conditions.
- Use a correction ladder: request correction, pause link/campaign, suspend, terminate, reverse ineligible commission.
- Preserve evidence of material violations and the remediation request.

These are scene, aspiration, and capability claims rather than guaranteed individual results.

### Monitor

- 10,000+ students, 98.5% satisfaction, 10–20 hours, current prices, 33.5 SHRM PDCs, bonuses, and live dates. Use only while they match the official offer page.
- Employer reimbursement. Say “may qualify” and “depends on the employer,” not “your employer will pay.”
- Testimonials. Verify the quote, permission, context, and any material connection; do not imply an exceptional result is typical.

### Do not publish

- “People School will get you promoted.”
- “Earn more after taking People School.”
- “This course pays for itself.”
- Guaranteed confidence, charisma, salary, promotion, health, or relationship outcomes.
- “Affiliate link” as the only disclosure.
- Any Vanessa image not approved for a specific affiliate use.

I reviewed the live Refer + Earn page and the current affiliate terms.

My decisions:

- Affiliates may not bid on People School, Science of People, Vanessa Van Edwards, our product names, domains, misspellings, or confusingly similar branded terms.
- Other paid ads require written campaign-level approval before launch. We need to approve the platform, account, copy, creative, landing page, targeting, budget, and dates. Approval for one campaign does not carry to another.
- Keep the current 20% potential commission, defined as 20% of net collected revenue from the initial People School enrollment. For payment plans, potential commission is considered installment by installment; nothing becomes payable until Science of People approves and releases it. Refunds, chargebacks, taxes, Plus renewals, upgrades, upsells, and unrelated products are excluded unless we approve them in writing.
- Use a 30-day last-eligible-click attribution window. Exclude a customer who was in an individualized, documented Science of People sales conversation during the preceding 90 days.
- Science of People has sole and absolute discretion over commission eligibility, attribution, holds, reversals, and payouts. Program determinations are final, with no internal appeal or alternate payout process.
- Allow affiliates worldwide only where we can lawfully operate and make payouts.
- Keep the rule that affiliates may not use Vanessa’s image unless we approve a specific use in writing.

The current live page and ethical guidelines are a good start, but they do not yet define attribution, payout discretion, payment plans, reversals, self-referrals, tracking abuse, or IP/licensing. I completed the missing program assets: replacement Circle copy, expanded application, onboarding emails, partner guide, swipe copy, creative briefs, internal approval workflow, and final affiliate terms.

The final kit is ready for implementation. Please replace the current Circle copy and terms, require every existing and new Affiliate to accept the July 14, 2026 version, and retain the acceptance record.

Do not call the program launched until all are true:

- End-to-end attribution and reversal tests pass.
- Approved creative files exist in every promised format.

- Internal owner and support process are assigned.
- First-partner promotion review and monthly monitoring are scheduled.
