# People School Affiliate Program Terms

**Effective July 14, 2026**

These People School Affiliate Program Terms (“Program Terms”) govern participation in the People School Affiliate Program (“Program”) operated by Science of People, LLC (“Science of People,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By applying to, accepting approval for, or participating in the Program, the applicant or approved participant (“Affiliate,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to these Program Terms, the [Science of People Terms of Service](https://www.scienceofpeople.com/terms-of-service/), and the [Science of People Privacy Policy](https://www.scienceofpeople.com/privacy-policy/).

If these Program Terms conflict with the general Terms of Service on a Program-specific issue, these Program Terms control for that issue. Science of People may require a separate written agreement for a particular partnership or campaign.

## 1. Application and acceptance

Participation is by application and written approval. Science of People may accept or reject any application in its discretion and is not required to explain its decision.

You must be at least the age of majority where you reside and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you apply or participate for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and “Affiliate” includes that organization.

The Program is available worldwide only where Science of People can lawfully operate the Program and make payments. You may not participate from a jurisdiction subject to applicable trade sanctions or when your participation, promotion, or payment would violate applicable law, a payment-provider rule, or a Science of People compliance requirement.

You must provide accurate, current information and keep your contact, tax, payout, website, and promotional-channel information current. You may not open multiple accounts, apply under a false identity, or transfer an approved account without written permission.

Approval applies only to the applicant and the channels disclosed in the application. Materially new channels, paid campaigns, agencies, subcontractors, or promotion methods require advance written approval.

Acceptance may be recorded electronically. Science of People may retain the accepted version, date, time, account, email address, and related acceptance records. Affiliates who joined under an earlier version must accept this version before continuing to promote or receiving any further Program payment.

## 2. The affiliate relationship

You are an independent contractor. Nothing in these Program Terms creates an employment, agency, franchise, fiduciary, joint-venture, or partnership relationship. You may not bind Science of People, make commitments on its behalf, collect payment for it, or represent yourself as an employee, agent, certified trainer, or official spokesperson unless separately authorized in writing.

You are responsible for your business expenses, equipment, taxes, insurance, registrations, permits, and legal compliance.

## 3. Eligible products and commission rate

Unless Science of People states otherwise in writing, an Affiliate may be considered for a commission equal to **20% of Net Eligible Revenue** from a referred customer’s initial eligible People School enrollment. No commission is earned, vested, owed, or payable unless and until Science of People determines that every eligibility condition has been satisfied and releases the payment under Section 5.

“Net Eligible Revenue” means amounts actually received and retained by Science of People for the eligible enrollment, after excluding:

- sales, use, value-added, or similar taxes;
- refunds, credits, disputes, chargebacks, reversals, fraud, and failed payments;
- discounts, coupons, credits, or incentives funded by Science of People;
- shipping, third-party fees, or separately stated charges;
- People School Plus renewals or other subscription renewals;
- upgrades, add-ons, upsells, order bumps, later purchases, and unrelated products, unless specifically designated as eligible in writing; and
- purchases that violate these Program Terms.

For a payment-plan enrollment, a potential commission is considered only as each installment is successfully collected and retained. Science of People does not calculate or release commission on the full scheduled payment-plan amount in advance.

The Program is not an earnings opportunity and does not guarantee traffic, conversions, commissions, or any level of income.

## 4. Referral attribution

An eligible referral must:

1. click the Affiliate’s authorized tracking link;
2. purchase an eligible People School enrollment within 30 days of the last eligible affiliate click; and
3. complete payment without violating these Program Terms.

Attribution is last-eligible-affiliate-click unless Science of People states otherwise in writing. Science of People’s tracking and transaction records control absent a clear technical error.

The following are not eligible:

- retroactive claims made after purchase;
- self-referrals or purchases by the Affiliate, its owners, employees, agents, or household members;
- purchases made primarily to generate commission;
- purchases from an Affiliate’s own client funds without the customer’s independent decision and consent;
- customers who were in an Active Sales Conversation with Science of People at any time during the 90 days before the affiliate click;
- duplicate, fraudulent, canceled, test, or internal orders;
- orders attributed to prohibited promotion; and
- orders where cookies, tracking, or referral data were manipulated or overwritten improperly.

Science of People may make a documented manual correction for a verified technical failure, but is not obligated to grant attribution when the required tracking did not occur.

“Active Sales Conversation” means a documented, individualized exchange about purchasing People School, such as a scheduled or completed sales call, a personalized sales email exchange, or an individualized proposal or enrollment arrangement. Merely subscribing to a newsletter, attending a webinar, submitting a general form, appearing in the CRM, or receiving automated marketing does not by itself create an Active Sales Conversation.

## 5. Validation, payment, and taxes

Commissions remain pending for at least 30 days after the associated payment is collected. Science of People may extend the validation period for fraud review, disputes, chargeback risk, or incomplete payout documentation.

Science of People has sole and absolute discretion to determine whether a referral, transaction, customer, payment, promotion method, or claimed commission is eligible; how attribution and Net Eligible Revenue are calculated; whether a commission should be approved, held, denied, reduced, reversed, offset, or paid; and the timing, method, and amount of any payment. Science of People’s records and determinations control. Its decisions are final, and the Program provides no internal appeal, escalation, alternate attribution process, invoice process, or alternate payment route.

Dashboard entries, reports, estimates, emails, pending balances, or other Program information do not create a debt or payment obligation. A commission becomes payable only if and when Science of People approves and releases it. Science of People may withhold or decline a payment while reviewing compliance, fraud, traffic quality, customer disputes, legal risk, tax documentation, payout information, or any other matter it considers relevant.

The Program is ordinarily administered on a monthly cycle using the payout method Science of People supports at that time. The ordinary minimum payout balance is $50, and lower balances ordinarily roll forward. These operating practices do not limit Science of People’s discretion to accelerate, delay, combine, withhold, deny, or use a different lawful payout method. Science of People may deduct or offset negative balances, reversals, overpayments, or amounts the Affiliate owes under the Program.

The Affiliate must provide all requested payout and tax documentation, including a valid Form W-9, Form W-8, or successor form when applicable, before any payment. The Affiliate is solely responsible for taxes on commissions. Science of People may report or withhold amounts when required by law.

If a payment is refunded, disputed, charged back, reversed, or found ineligible after commission was paid, Science of People may reverse the commission and deduct it from future payments or require repayment.

## 6. Truthful, substantiated promotion

All promotions must be truthful, accurate, and consistent with the current approved partner kit and official People School pages.

You may not:

- promise or guarantee a promotion, raise, income, job, health outcome, relationship outcome, confidence level, charisma level, or life change;
- state or imply that an exceptional testimonial is typical;
- invent, alter, misquote, or remove context from testimonials, reviews, credentials, statistics, research, pricing, bonuses, availability, or refund terms;
- use “proven,” “guaranteed,” “official,” “best,” “#1,” or a comparative claim without written approval and appropriate substantiation;
- make medical, therapeutic, diagnostic, or treatment claims;
- present outdated prices, dates, bonuses, deadlines, or product inclusions as current; or
- create a false sense of scarcity, urgency, endorsement, or affiliation.

When in doubt, use the current partner kit or request written approval before publishing.

## 7. Required affiliate disclosures

You must clearly and conspicuously disclose the financial relationship with Science of People in every endorsement or recommendation where that relationship would not otherwise be obvious.

The disclosure must:

- use plain language that states you may earn a commission;
- appear close to the endorsement and tracking link;
- be difficult to miss and easy to understand;
- appear before a “more” truncation or similar content break where practical;
- be visible on image-based content;
- be both spoken and displayed for video when the endorsement is both audible and visual; and
- accompany each relevant endorsement rather than appearing only in a profile, footer, legal page, or prior post.

Approved example: “I’m a People School affiliate. If you enroll through my link, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.”

The words “affiliate link,” “partner,” “ambassador,” or a hashtag alone may not be sufficient and do not replace the required plain-language disclosure.

## 8. Email, messages, events, and privacy

You may promote People School only through lawful, permission-based communications.

You may not use purchased, scraped, rented, harvested, or unlawfully shared contact lists; send spam; use automated cold bulk outreach; conceal the sender; use deceptive subject lines; or ignore an opt-out request.

You are responsible for complying with applicable email, text-message, telemarketing, privacy, advertising, and data-protection laws, including consent, identification, address, unsubscribe, suppression, and recordkeeping requirements.

Do not send personal information about a prospect to Science of People without the person’s permission and an approved secure process. Do not collect payment information, account credentials, sensitive personal data, or health information on behalf of Science of People.

## 9. Paid advertising and brand-keyword restrictions

Paid advertising is prohibited unless Science of People gives advance written approval for the specific campaign. An approval must identify the approved platform, account, copy, creative, landing page, targeting, budget, and run dates. Any material change requires new approval. Silence, prior approval of another campaign, or approval of organic content is not paid-media approval.

Even with paid-campaign approval, you may not bid on or target:

- “Science of People,” “People School,” “Vanessa Van Edwards,” or another Science of People brand, course, product, program, domain, or social handle;
- misspellings, abbreviations, translations, variations, or confusingly similar versions of those terms;
- combinations such as brand + coupon, discount, review, login, complaints, refund, or support; or
- a competitor term in a way that creates confusion about source, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.

You may not use a prohibited brand term in a paid-search display URL, ad-account name, social profile name, domain, subdomain, app name, or other identifier that could appear official.

You may not direct paid traffic through an automatic redirect, bridge page, cloaked page, pop-under, forced click, adware placement, toolbar, browser extension, or other mechanism designed to intercept or obscure referral traffic.

## 10. Domains, search optimization, coupons, and marketplaces

Without written approval, you may not:

- register or use a domain, subdomain, social handle, group, page, or app name containing a Science of People brand term or confusingly similar variation;
- create a website, profile, or search listing that could be mistaken for an official Science of People property;
- impersonate Science of People in organic or paid search;
- publish unauthorized coupons, discount codes, cashback offers, rebates, bonuses, or incentives;
- submit tracking links to coupon, deal, loyalty, cashback, browser-extension, or toolbar sites;
- list People School on a marketplace or resell access; or
- use misleading “review,” “official,” “login,” “support,” or comparison pages to capture branded traffic.

Truthful, clearly independent reviews may be allowed when they comply with these Program Terms and do not misuse trademarks, testimonials, or confidential materials.

## 11. Brand assets and intellectual property

Science of People grants an approved Affiliate a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license during active participation to use the specific approved Program assets solely to promote eligible People School enrollments under these Program Terms.

You must use assets exactly as supplied. You may not alter logos, colors, proportions, text, imagery, copyright notices, trademarks, or other brand elements except where an editable template expressly allows a specified field.

Vanessa Van Edwards photography is not approved for affiliate use unless Science of People authorizes a specific image, placement, campaign, and period in writing.

You may not copy, publish, distribute, teach, sell, sublicense, record, summarize substantially, or create derivative products from People School curriculum, course materials, videos, workbooks, assessments, private community content, or other protected materials.

All goodwill arising from use of Science of People marks belongs to Science of People. You receive no ownership interest in any mark, content, customer relationship, or Program material.

## 12. Prohibited conduct

In addition to other restrictions, you may not:

- use false identities, fake reviews, fabricated engagement, bots, cookie stuffing, forced clicks, invisible pixels, or deceptive redirects;
- overwrite another affiliate’s tracking improperly;
- offer a customer any portion of your commission without written approval;
- pressure, threaten, harass, discriminate against, or manipulate a potential customer;
- publish unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, violent, deceptive, infringing, or brand-damaging content in connection with the Program;
- promote People School on content or channels centered on illegal activity, explicit adult content, hate, harassment, or deceptive business practices;
- make statements on behalf of Science of People;
- bid against, impersonate, or interfere with Science of People’s marketing, customer service, sales, or technology; or
- evade an approval, suspension, or termination decision through another account or intermediary.

## 13. Monitoring, records, and cooperation

You must retain enough information to show where and how People School was promoted, including copies or links to relevant posts, emails, ads, landing pages, and disclosures. On reasonable request, you must provide those records and promptly correct, pause, or remove noncompliant promotion.

Science of People may monitor public promotion, test links, review traffic quality, request screenshots or campaign details, and contact you about compliance. Failure to cooperate is grounds for suspension or termination.

## 14. Suspension and termination

Either party may end participation at any time by written notice. Science of People may suspend links, hold commissions, remove access, or terminate immediately for suspected fraud, legal risk, brand harm, security risk, material breach, or failure to correct noncompliant promotion.

After termination, you must stop presenting yourself as an Affiliate, stop using Program assets and marks, remove tracking links and unapproved content, and return or destroy confidential Program material on request.

Science of People may, in its sole discretion, approve and pay a valid pre-termination commission after final validation. It may deny, withhold, or reverse any commission associated with a breach, fraud, prohibited promotion, ineligible transaction, unresolved review, or termination for cause. Termination does not accelerate a pending balance or create a right to payment.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including payment adjustments, taxes, intellectual property, confidentiality, warranties, indemnity, limitations of liability, and dispute terms — continue to apply.

## 15. Program changes

Science of People may change the Program, commissionable products, rate, attribution window, payout process, approved methods, assets, or these Program Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Affiliate’s email, partner portal, community, or another reasonable channel and will apply prospectively from the stated effective date unless a change is required sooner by law, security, fraud prevention, or platform policy. Science of People may require affirmative electronic acceptance of an updated version before continued participation or payment.

Continued participation after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree, you must stop participating.

## 16. Confidentiality

Nonpublic information about the Program, campaigns, customers, pricing plans, product changes, tracking, security, sales, or operations is confidential unless Science of People identifies it as approved for public use. You may use confidential information only to participate in the Program and must protect it from unauthorized access or disclosure.

## 17. Disclaimers

The Program, tracking, links, assets, reports, and partner tools are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Science of People does not guarantee uninterrupted tracking, attribution, availability, traffic, conversion, commission, or any business result.

Nothing in the Program is legal, tax, accounting, financial, or business advice to the Affiliate.

## 18. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Affiliate will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Science of People and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, losses, liabilities, penalties, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from the Affiliate’s promotion, content, channels, data practices, legal violations, breach of these Program Terms, or infringement of a third party’s rights.

## 19. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Science of People will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity; or damages arising from tracking interruption, attribution decisions, Program changes, suspension, or termination.

Science of People’s aggregate liability arising from the Program will not exceed $100, except where applicable law does not permit that limitation.

## 20. Governing terms and dispute language

The sections titled “Limitation Of Liability,” “Governing Law,” and “Dispute Resolution” in the Science of People Terms of Service are incorporated into these Program Terms and apply to the Program as if fully stated here.

Accordingly, these Program Terms are governed by Oregon law without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Except for a qualifying individual small-claims matter or another exception stated in the Terms of Service, disputes must be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association. The Affiliate and Science of People waive participation as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative action. A claim arising from the Program must be commenced within one year after it accrues or it is permanently barred, to the extent permitted by law.

If arbitration is found not to apply to a particular claim, that claim must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts in Oregon in and for the county where Science of People maintains its principal office. Nothing in this section creates an internal review or alternate payout process. Nothing in these Program Terms waives a right that applicable law does not permit a party to waive.

## 22. Entire agreement and severability

These Program Terms, the Science of People Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any written campaign-specific terms constitute the agreement regarding the Program. A waiver must be in a writing signed by Science of People. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect, and the invalid provision will be modified only as much as necessary to make it enforceable. Electronic records and signatures have the same effect as paper records and signatures. Headings are for convenience only.
